How can I best deal with my depression without medication and health insurance? I find that Meditation and Yoga help you cope with depression in an amazing way. Drinking alcohol is terrible for depression. Try to eat a healthy diet. Flax seed oil is really good for depression. Vitamin B complex and B12 are also excellent for depression. Over all we must go within and find the root cause of the emptiness Try to read books on alternative medicine, Ayurveda... Good luck. Try to change the situation making you depressed. I am trying to figure that out. I suffer from depression and I have to take meds. you might only be able to get over it with meds but then again, if there is a way without meds, please let me know. Go to a health food or store with vitamins, i believe they sell something over the counter that would help you, although seeing a professional is the best way to go. look into hypnosis. cheer up. the sun is up the sky is blue its beautiful and so are u! This is a toughie... I have dealt with the same sort of thing, and it's a VERY tough battle. Sometimes it takes finding a friend or someone to talk to that can maybe think more objectively to your problem. Also, try different things... I keep a journal and write my thoughts when I feel like depression is getting the best of me. I also try to find things that I enjoy doing... and try to do at least one thing every day. If you're in College, see if they offer counseling... it is usually free if you're a full-time student. You may not. But recognizing that you have a problem is a huge step in the right direction. |
