Can you get financial aid for cataract surgery? My mother is 57. No health insurance.? Have her to check with your states local welfare office...I am a 57 year old female on disability and until I started to get my Social Security benefits, my lawyer had me to do just that....I was embarrassed at first, but after realizing all of the years that I gave to the system, they were there for me when I needed them...They covered doctor bills, hospital bills and prescriptions for me and even glasses....If she is unable to check for herself, please do it for her...Bless you and good luck! IF YOU CAN'T GET FINANCIAL AID TRY AND SEE IF THEY WOULD LET YOU MAKE PAYMENTS. DOES SHE HAVE MEDICARE IF SHE DOES MAYBE THEY WOULD HELP. GOOD LUCK. If the other's help doesn't help you perhaps you could contact your local Lion's Club they do a lot for eye care. They helped us get my son's eyes looked at by a specialist when he needed it. We just had to prove income to them. Unless her vision is visually debilitating and makes her handicapped (worse than 20/200), then no. Cataract surgery is elective. If you do find some cheap route, be careful. A botched cataract surgery is bad news. |
