Does anyone know the maximum age a person can be and still have private health insurance? In the U.S., anyone who wants to (and can affrod to) can purchase private health insurance. But once you turn 65, you are eligible for Medicare, so virtually everyone switches from traditional private health care, because basic Medicare is free, and the additional services available are much cheaprer. Many people do buy a private Medicare supplement, though, to cover things Meidcare doesn't. |
