My neighbor has no medical insurance and health problems?

my neighbor doesn't have medical insurance so she has to go to the free clinic. she had thyroid cancer and both thyroids removed now. she found a lump where she had the cancer,they did a cat scan and said "we found something in your sinuses and where you had cancer and also something on you right lung".the clinic is making her wait to see a specialist because of no insurance,they keep telling her it all takes time to get in to the specialist.mean while she is a nervous wreck. so she talked to the lady incharge of the clinic and got no where. my question is who can she contact to get some answers to get the results of what they found, they told her a specalist has to read the cat scan to say what they found. she has been waiting almost 3 weeks. if it was me i'd sure want to know ASAP. PLEASE help

Your local social services agency can help her see if she is qualified for free medicaid/medical care. She may need to provide alot of paperwork and documentation, but it may mean her life in the long run. If you can, help her work thru the process. Source(s): worked for "the man"

Goverment has stuff like Medicade, and Access depending on which part of the country your from, and depending on how much she makes she could get on the governmental stuff..
my suggestion...tell her to seek legal advice.
Find out who the specialist is and call them yourself....
