Should I search for disability insurance, even though I am in good health?

Should I search for disability insurance, even though I am in good health?

Yes, absolutely. A former co-worker got a blood infection that almost cost him his right arm, literally. He ended up having to have 5 inches of a bone removed in an effort to save his arm. Doctors think he got the infection from a paper cut. He missed months of work and didn't have disability insurance because he thought the $11/mo was too expensive. He ended up having to rely on the kindness of family, friends and strangers to keep a roof over his head and food on the table while he was unable to work. This is even more important if you have a family to support. If it isn't available through work, check with your auto/homeowners insurance agent.
