How expensive is having individual health care insurance?

How expensive can it be? Do you have to pay it monthly or annually? How much do you have to pay? Like 30 dollars a month?

The cost depends upon your age, height and weight, gender, if you smoke, and the deductible and benefits of the policy. I've seen policies for people in their 20's run $50 or $60 per month and people in their 60's run over $1000 per month. Most policies are paid monthly.

You should visit a local independent agent. This person knows the market in your area and can find the best policy for your situation and they don't charge you anything for the service. Source(s): Independent Agent
That all depends on how much coverage you choose to have.
If you can't find groop health ins with your employer that's to bad. It's normaly the cheapest and the best you can find.

Private individual health coverage can be very costly. How expensive it is depends on how sick you are. You typically pay for your health coverage monthly. The only health insurance I know for $30 a month is from a huge company with very good benefits.
