Health insurance sucks, what can i do?

So two and a half months ago i filed a claim. BCBS pays 50% of vision and i sent in a bill where i paid $315.55, max pay out is $100. So i sent the claim in. waited the 30 days, no check. called they said they didnt know what happened and couldnt find out. called the next week. still no clue. next week finally told me it had been denied needed to send in an itemized receipt. so i faxed it to them. waited 20 days. still not done. another week, still not. now it has been 2 and a half months and finally they have processed, but not sent the check out. not to mention, some how they got $40 dollars as 50%. so the claim has to be reprocessed and it could take and additional 45 day.

Yes, this really stinks.

File a complaint against them with your state insurance regulator. If you google: File health insurance complaint, you get a bunch of state regulatory sites. Good luck!

This is a prime example of how beaurocracy operates. A person gets sold into thier game plan then when it is time for them to do thier work then you as the client is now put on the back burner. I know that this is frustrating to have to wait and then more frustrating to have the games played with the having to do things after the fact although if you read the fine print before going with the insurance company then you will have a better idea or else you will not deal with that entity.
This answer is for you Erica and it is for whoever else that reads this. People it is time to wake up.
These types of people screw around with your money and then they tell you NO!!!
My answer to you is to not subscribe to thier nonsense.
If enough people stop dealing with trhis type of legalized thievery then the industry will change and the trashy operators will go under.
Another fine example for this is Lawyers and Law Firms.
These people are not worth the money spent because it is not the law they are trained for.
When a person goes to universtiy to study law they are taught different values.
A lawyer in University is trained to find out an angle to get the most money out of you as efficiently as possible. The
stall tactics they use, well it is clearly indicitive that thier practices clearly state what they are... SCUMMY TRASH !!!

People you need to start screening your insurance companies very close as well as anyone who makes you sign on the dotted line. Most of this type of service is not honest. Want to respond to me to either thank me or debate this issue then my email is kendk1@yahoo.ca
