Currently have Anthem health insurance.? |
It is BC/BS. It's really bad. If I go through BC/BS directly is this better than thorugh the middle man? Or is that possible. They haggle over every charge, and I still end up paying a huge amount out of pocket. What are some better options? Are there any? The insurance is individual, not through an employer. Individual policies sold directly from the company are the exact same policies and the same price whether you go through an agent or not. If you are using your car insurance agent BC/BS might be the only company that he sells health through. You'll want to find a local independent agent that deals with many companies. This person will be able to listen to you and find a plan that's best for your situation. There are around 1000 different plans available in most areas which is why you need an agent contracted with 7 or 8 companies.
