How come doctors didn't figure out how to cure heart disease?

how come doctors in hospitals didn't find a cure for diseases like heart disease and lung disease?

Doctors are not medical researchers so they would not be the ones investigating "cures" in the first place. Doctors diagnose and treat illnesses based on research performed by scientists. Diseases are very complicated. Even developing a drug that may just treat an illness can take up to 20 years of testing and most drugs tested never make it to market. Many diseases are caused by multiple problems and sometimes the system is poorly understood so more work needs to be done to understand what causes the disease before we can even begin to treat it.

We've known for a long time what causes heart disease, but the electric and utility industries lobbied our government to suppress the research so that they wouldn't lose their huge profits.

And now we have cell phone masts and wi-fi to contend with, and no surprise, heart disease is on the rise again. Even kids are dying from heart attacks and strokes today.

I wouldn't doubt that this accounts for the increase in lung disease, too - I know wireless has been linked to the increase in asthma.

It is still a work in progress. There are many things that can cause heart failiure or lung diseases. Research continues daily. Doctors at present can only treat the problem with the medicines or technology that presently exist.
