Do Vegetarians get Heart Disease?

What percentage is gene related?

Yes, but at a significantly lower rate than omnivores.

of course they can. is they eat alot of fat

Yes!! There are so many forms of heart disease. I work with a cardiovascular surgeon and just this week, a man came in who got a heart disease from not drinking enough water! (basically it dehydrated his liver, so some of the bacteria from his urine leaked into his bloodstream which got to his heart and destroyed his mitral valve.

Basically, although clots are less common in vegetarians than in Steak-house-junky 400lb-elephant-man, everyone is still at risk.

If you've got a concern, and symptoms for heart disease, get it checked out! But if you want to do a little research before going to the physician, go to: http://symptoms.webmd.com/symptomchecker and it will lead you through a series of questions that might help you narrow down your search.

not eating meat will reduce your risk of getting heart disease, but it is still possible. your genes are also important.

First of all you should understand that food is not the only reason for heart disease.. a life style without exercise can also cause problems so also obesity and genetic predisposition or all of the above put together.
So yes vegetarians do get heart disease.

No... Vegetarians do not have heart disease but some have because of the heredity came from the family.

Sure they can, not all heart disease is food related, some of it is genetics.

No one can assured that Vegetarians do not get Heart Attack or any other Heart Ailments. Even Vegetarians may get the Disease unless he/she is leading to a very strict disciplined life style. Anyone can avoid Heart Disease not only by having Vegetarians but having a balanced diets - low calorie, low fat and having a lot of whole grains, vegetables, fruits etc. Yoga and stress relieving is also important. Smoking & Drinking(Hard) must be avoided as well. Exercises are very important to reduce the LDL - bad cholesterol.

They can, it depends on how active they are, their lifestyle and what kind of vegetarian foods they eat.

Not generally. Depends what crap they eat though and if they consume large amounts of alcohol and smoke.
