Chonic Heart Disease and my mother? |
I have just had what I think is a totally inappropriate answer to my previous question about my mother. I have reported it. Really sorry to hear that you had a heartless reply, some people really have no compassion!! My thoughts are with you at this difficult time, i hope my information can be of some help. The Digoxin tablet is to regulate your mothers heart beat, usual given for a condition called Atrial Fibrillation, which is the term used for when the top section of the heart the "atria" attempt to pump too quickly. This medication stops this happening. Bisoprolol is used to treat high blood pressure and Aspirin is used to make the blood less sticky, therefore reducing the risk of any blood cells sticking to damaged artery walls and causing a blood clot which in turn can cause a heart attack. Its is a possiblity that the side affects she is having is from the medication but i would advise that you speak your doctor again. You know what your mother is usually like and therefore can relay this to the doctor. Even if the doctors do feel that you are being over cautious, you have every right to be, you only have one mother. I'm sure they are used to people being over cautious and would prefer that to people not caring at all. You do not mention whether blood sugar levels are checked on a regular basis, this may also be making her fell unwell if they are too high or too low. It will be more obvious to see that they are too low, as her consciousness level will reduce quite rapidly. But if her blood sugars are too high, it can be more difficult to detect without a Glucometer. If her sugars are too high then she will appear very lethergic and flushed and may also have what is called "kussmauls" breathing (deeping sighing breathing) in an attempt to burn off some of the sugar. Source(s): paramedic I'm sorry you had to deal with someone so heartless. I've answered your previous question after I saw this one, I hope it helps. Some people are so lacking compassion it's mind-boggling. |
