As far as the medical profession on a whole is concerned, the jury is still out on the validity of this type of drug therapy. Once damage has been done the answer is no, but it is never too late to work on further damage and prevention. Although it is possible to manage heart disease into a state where it isn't as damaging, it cannot be cured or reversed by medicine. Your body will sometimes fix your heart muscle (myocardium) but usually after a heart attack this muscle is permanently damaged.
