I have heart disease and kidney problems but i'm wondering if it would be safe to take glucosamine, chondroiti I don't think many people on this page would like to make a definite reply to your question in case their reply was not correct and might endanger your health.I think you must direct this question at either your pharmacist or your doctor, Nobody should be taking either substance, since they're both expensive and ineffective. Kidney disease is definitely another reason not to use them - there is some evidence that they can seriously worsen pre-existing nephritis. it is relatively safe to take those. but if you are allergic to shellfish, then you better consult first your physician about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/glucosamine... It is rather pointless since they have little if any therapeutic effect. Consult your GP before contemplating any medication.
