Could I have heart Disease? |
I have had this problem in my upper left chest area and down near my armpit area, and down my left arm, never on the right. Sometimes I get this weird feeling where it feels like my heart stopped but then I can feel it again with a deep beat in my chest. Also, I am having pains in my upper shoulders and neck. My girlfriend says I shouldn't worry, but yet I do because I feel that something is not normal. I do admit I have a tendency to be a hypocondriac, but I really feel that it is not me thinking its there, I really feel something is wrong. Any Ideas of what might be happening to me? It's really horrible, when you are a bit of a hypochondriac, ....because it is like the boy who cried wolf...however, if it is really scaring you, I would definately go to the doctors, if you have insurance...and check it out for your own well being. It is probably anxiety,..but you know, you will feel better if you rule that out....God Bless darling, it just isnt worth it to be guessing about something like that. You could have heart disease. You have a heart, you could have heart disease. However, what you describe does not sound typical for Ischaemic Heart Disease, which is the heart attack/angina thing that most people worry about. You are obviously worrying about it despite your girlfriend's levelheaded approach. If you are worrying about it so much perhaps you should see your family doctor and get their opinion. I think that would be preferable to the opinions of random members of the public from the internet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ischaemic_h... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/coronary_he... I suggest you relax, you make an appointment with a cardiologist and get evaluated. you could very well be hypochondriac and when the mind weeps the body cries as a dr. once told me. go check it out after that you can say i have this or im fine. good day. It is better to take an ECG and consult a cardiologist. Please check whether your pulse rate is normal. Normal rates for adult is 60 to 100 beats per minute. I think that your heart problem may be connected with electrical conductivity of the heart. Please see the web pages for more details on Arrythmia. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/medica... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/arrythmia... http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/... http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/... Yes, by all means see your doctor. Heart disease is the leading killer of both men and women. If you smoke, stop. |
