If I am on heart disease medication can I still take herbal remedies such as Valerian, Cats claw etc?

I am on metroprolol and Ramipiril, Plavex and Aspirin.

I'm a pharmacist. It should be OK. Valerian is used as a sleep aid. Cat Claw is used to boost the immune system. They're not known to interact with the above blood pressure and anti coagulant medications but listen to your body. If you don't feel well, stop and consult a doctor.
You need to consult your pharmacist and/or doctor some herbal remedies interact with prescription medications.
You definitely need to ask your doctor and/or pharmacist about that. Some supplements thin your blood and you shouldn't take them while already taking other blood thinners.
You need to stick with your regular meds, some of this so called herbal remedies can kill you.
Unless there have been studies about the effects of combining the specific medications and remedies, don't even think about it.

Some herbs will either make a medication less effective or more effective, either of which is dangerous. Even some standard vitamins could be contraindicated. In your case, any herbs and vitamins that affect clotting should be avoided.
The Doctor has me on Lisinopril, Lipator and 2,000 units of nicine, also take Garlic pills, asprin,
Have had a 4 way CABG and 2 stints 11 years ago and doing great.
