In Arthus reaction, which is an example of a localized immune-complex - mediated inflammatory response th exogenous antigen reacts with preformed antibody in the walls of blood vessels. Typical inflammatory reaction, with increased vascular permeability, an accumulation of neutrophils, edema, hemorrhage, clotting and tissue damage will usu begin. Since this is vascular, with clotting, etc maybe it injures the heart. This is a stretch, but it was all I could find without going on the web to sites previously mentioned.
