What are the symtoms of heart disease?

have panic attack....shortening of breath...

The main symptoms of hear diseases are, chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, fainting and syncopy attacks, increase fluid in the body esp. feet.
these symptoms may also be due to other diseases, a physician can diffierentiate between them.
For example. Chest pains----> in heart pains or attacks, it is like... in front of sternum, heaviness in character, may radiate to your jaw and left/right arm, aggravated by exertion, relieved by rest and associated with nausea, vomiting, sweating, fear of impending death.
If there is inflamation of membranes of heart, then the pain character and quallities become different.

Also the symptoms that appear because of heart diseases depend on the stage of disease, severity of disease and type of diease. Chest pain may different in Angina, Heart Attack Pericarditis, .

And chest pain may be due to other medical condition, like peuritis (inflammation of membranes of lungs, inflammation in ribs, stomach irritation, muscles, dissecting aneurysm of Aorta.

To differentiate between all syptoms and diagnose the type, severity and stage of disease, is the Job of Medical Doctor.

MY advice is whenever you feel any symtoms like chest pain/discomfort, racing up of heart (palpitation), shortness of breath, swelling on feet...you might consider heart disease, .... and condult your MD> Source(s): A beautiful mind
