Is anyone under 40 and have heart disease?

My husband is 30 and has just had a heart attack caused by hereditary high cholestrol, he also has heart disease as a result and is feeling quite alone as all the other patients in the hospital are 60+. If anyone is under 40 and living with a similar condition please get in contact.

Razwell I hate to dispute your theories but each and every link you put up is a link to sell a book on this theory. Please stop with the cholestrol crap as you are misleading people and this is not a subject you or that book author should try to sell.. It is completely disputed and Cholestrol is a major factor in heart desease... Follow your own links and you will see that all of them lead to the sale of a book which is NOTHING but THEORY and twisted facts.. Rely on the actual studies not someone interpretation of the studies..

I know you mean well but you are completely misinformed.. This is a dangerious subject to those who have already expierenced a heart attack.. Every Doctor in the world will disagree with you and the books these men are trying to sell..
Thanks for you input and I wish you well but you are playing in an area you know nothing about.. Only the theories of these men trying to sell their books.. VERY DANGERIOUS!!!!

To answer the question above.. I am 50 now but I had heart attacks at the age of 46 which is still very young.. I had 1 massive.. died twice and was revived twice, then two minor ones after.. At first a stent was put in which saved my life, but after the next two i had to go through open heart with a quad bypass.. All were contributed to many factors but cholestrol was a big part of it.. Smoking, stress, bad life style.. fast foods and greasy diners.. all the above.. It's not easy to go through but because I had excellent Dr care I am here still today.. I am now 100% disabled and unable to work again in my life.. Rare case yes but.. most carry on in a very normal life after.. I wasn't so lucky due to my 1st which did tremedious damage but I thank god every day that i am still here to enjoy my children and now my soon to be grandchildren.. Tell him to follow every word the doctors say and not to listen to the so called experts he will get here on line.. It's hard I know but believe it or not he will soon be able to put that in his past and live a great life thanks to the new meds and studies.. It's an everyday occurance now, and he's not alone..
I was diagnosed with heart failure at 32. I am now 34 and dealing with it to the best of my ability. I felt the same, cause i was the youngest on the heart floor by at least 30 plus years. I also have a cardiomyopathy and cancer in my right kidney. If he needs someone to talk with, have him email at dmckinner@yahoo.com. I would be happy to talk with him! I wish him the best of luck, and suggest that you talk with his doctors about the drug COREG. It has done me wonders!!!
I am sorry about your husband's heart attack BUT IT WASS NOT CAUSE BY CHOLESTEROL.
