Is mega dose vitC really helpful for heart disease?

linus pauling system of mega dose vitC along with lysine is purported to actually reverse coronary artery blockage; lots of anecdotal testimonials but no real clinical results I can find. Can this work?

Do you think you know more than Linus Pauling? If you do, you are kidding yourself. My dad is on high doses of ascorbic acid and lysine and his plaque is being reversed. He had 2 dye test done and the cardiologist said it was being reversed and he can't explain how.
generally, mega dosing of anything is not healthy for you
I am currently engaged in cardiovascular research at Columbia, and there is no good evidence to support this - in fact, mega-dose vit C has been associated with increased carcinoma risk.
The vitamins that have been associated with cardiac benefit are folate, vit B6 and vit B12, but even this has not stood up to meta-analysis. And these certainly do not reverse atherosclerosis, etc...
glyconutrients aid in cell function and repair. the body can
heal itself.

No vitamin will do that.
No. All it will do is make your urine acidic. And it may make your stomach hurt.
