I'm a 35yr old with severe heart disease whats the best way to stick around longer.? Follow your doctors orders first and foremost and ask him before trying anything suggested to you by a non professional. If he allows for certain amounts of cardio exercise I say do it. Exercise for your heart is the best thing you can do even if it is just walking. Try to have a positive outlook on things. A better attitude has been scientifically linked to longer life. Also, you might want to rack up on your antioxidents. Pomegranates and pomegranate juice is great for that. Red wine is next in line, but you may not be allowed to consume alcohol due to medication. Good luck! transplant how did that happen? i have the same problem. Its hard to live with day to day not knowing when you will go. I have learned to stop smoking, watch what I eat and live each day as if it were my last. I am serious...become a vegetarian. You don't need red meat, you don't need carbs that turn to sugar, stay away from stuff like that. Eat wheat products if you want breads or pastas. If you have to eat meat, eat fish or try veggie burgers or tofu. I swear you cannot tell the difference. Once you get used to it, it won't be a problem. Make sure you doctor has you on good meds. Get 2nd opinions on the meds. That's a drag, I'm sorry. The best thing you can do is to follow your doctors' instructions for diet and exercise, and try some alternative things, too, like meditation. Make sure you have great doctors, and get a second opinion, too. Not to have severe heart disease. If you want to live longer then that then consider Immortality. |
