Is it okay for people who have heart disease to take calcium supplement? i heard there are side effects..?

I have looked this up on Internet and here is what was said:" ....maintain adequate dietary intake of potassium, CALCIUM and magnesium...." so I imagine it is alright going by that data. I see calcium also helps with preventing heart disease. I looked up by typing in search "Heart disease and calcium" OK hope this helped....check it out for further info.
I would check with my GP before taking any supplements.
CA is the thing that triggers heart beat, but I know of no contraindication to taking a CA supplement. I have no idea why people say ask a GP, when it should be a cardiologist.
its absolutely OK & there should be no problem.
taking calcium supplement has NOTHING to do with any heart condition.
there are side effects for too much of anything, dont take extra anything if not perscribed by a dr. thats studied your blood work. its ok to eat foods with calcium in them, but caution with the supplements
