OEDEMA is a medical word for what is commonly known as swelling. Yes it may be related to heart as one may have oedema in heart tissues. This primarily caused by water retention and leads to CHF ( Chronic heart failure). Diuretics generally helps but it depends on the severity I Think that Odema is fluid retention if that gives you any clues, but not sure aboue edema. if your question is medical ,yes edema is a fluid retention and can be caused also by heart failure If your heart is not pumping right it can cause edema. Blood pressure and water pills go together to help remove excess fluids. edema is when you retain fluids in your ankles and other joints on you body. i'm not sure if it has any direct relation to heart disease but i think it might contribute by making your heart work harder. |
