What does high cholesterol have to do with heart disease?

high cholesterol diets cause fat to deposit on the inside of ur arteries. the more bad food u eat, the more fat gets deposited. it's sort of like a sink that keeps getting blocked. eventually the amount of blood going to that particular part of the body decreases and cells can start to die. and if the blood vessel wall is damaged then blood can actually start to clot around the tear. these can further narrow the vessel or worse-travel in the blood till it reaches the lungs or heart. this can be a serious problem as these vessels are small and so clts are able to block them off almost completely. this can lead to shortness of breath and heart attacks. but u have to remember that these are the long term consequences og high cholesterol. eating healthy and keeping fit contribute improving someone's prospects. for more information check out http://www.patient.co.uk. it has useful pamphlets and website links.
