Whats the best food you can eat when you have heart disease?

my dad has hreat problems and he keeps eating unhealthy food like bread and other food like eggs and high cholatrol food
do you know some food that lowers bad cholostrol?

if ur dad has high cholesterol, see if hes taking 'lipitor' as one of his medication.. because this medicine helps reduce cholesterol..

also make ure dad eat food which are low in saturated-fat .. some of the examples of low saturated-fat foods are as follows :

fat free or 1% dairy products
lean meats
fish and shellfish
skinless poultry
whole grain foods
fruits
vegetables

Look for soft margarines (liquid or tub varieties) that are low in saturated fat and contain little or no trans fat (another type of dietary fat that can raise your cholesterol level).

hope that helps.....
see a nutritionist--they are free to see at health departments. Read the labels on food. fruit/vegetables are a good food choice as well as non fried foods.
I would suggest you visit the american heart association web site for information on a healthy diet, but I also would remind you that only your dad can choose to eat a healthy diet and lead a healthy lifestyle.
