Would I qualify for Social Security Benefits if I have CHF/DIABETES/SLEEP APNEA/HEART DISEASE?

Would I qualify for Social Security Benefits if I have CHF/DIABETES/SLEEP APNEA/HEART DISEASE?

You ONLY qualify for Social Security benefits if you are disabled to the point to where you are NOT able to work. This means...
You must NEVER be expected to work again... meaning that your disability is bad enough that you can't do activities that you would be expected to do at work.
I will tell you right off hand, if you just have sleep apnea, that is NOT enough to get you disability, neither is heart disease.
However, if you have diabetes, and it is bad enough that you can't work because of the side effects, then YES, you can get disability.
do NOT expect to file and then get it one month later, they ALWAYS turn you down the first time. sometimes, they turn you down the second and third time... basically they do this because they want to make sure that you are going to fight for the benifits that you deserve.
If they turn you down, I would suggest getting a lawyer, ESPECIALLY if you have a doctor backing up that you are disabled enough to receive benifits. Source(s): My husband is disabled and on social security, we jumped through all the hoops, even though he was bed ridden, paralized from the neck down due to neck/back injury, they still turned him down 2 times and then we got a lawyer, he was approved within a month of having a lawyer!!
if you have all of these yes if no then maybe maybe not depends what type diabetes you have and if its age related or not(cant get dla/incapacity if your over a certain age), not sure of the sleep apnoea one as its severity differs from person to person, also it depends what heart disease you have if you have wpw/angina then yes i dont know wat chf is though so cant comment your gp can advise you on this as he is the one who will need to sign the forms anyway
what is chf
