Is Los Chillos, Ecuador at 3000 meters to high for someone to live with heart disease?

Is Los Chillos, Ecuador at 3000 meters to high for someone to live with heart disease?

No. Thin air is good for the heart. Move to Equador as soon as possible.
The air is thinner the higher one goes, but if one works out and can build up the hemoglobin in their blood it would be easier for a healthy person to acclimate to the height, BUT you say there is a heart condition involved. Only your doctor can tell you whether or not to go about building up to being able to live at a much higher altitide. Good luck. Suzanne

I would ask a physician. But I do know that the effects of high altitude sickness usually do not start untill 10,000 feet. 3000 meters is really close to that and being that you have a heart condition I would say do NOT go there.

Unless you are planning on being buried there and want to pick out your own grave site.
