Is it ok to have a few beer and some icecream daily when you have a serious heart disease? |
my elderly friend (82 years old) had 2 major heart attacks and one minor, the most recent one was 7 months ago. recently he has alot of problem with short of breath, he must take a break from walking 10 metres to get his breath back , he is also quite obese. Now he has started drinking beer again, today he had 2 beer, yesterday one, his doctor made him quit drinking 5 years ago, now he took it up again. Also he has 1 litre of icecream every few day. My question is will these 'little' diet change coz any further illness based on his condition? well it can't be helping....but everyone's got to go one day....he is 82. Yes ! its better to burn out - than to fade away...have fun while your alive..eat & drink what makes you happy.. yep they will. but since hes 82 and seriously ill ,he might as well enjoy the little time has left. chug away old dude! you will suffer artery sclerosis at his age let him do it, he's too old to be a gogolo again, and what else is there, he's going sooner than later so let him enjoy, but try change the MAGNUM STRENGHT BEER, to a LIGHTER VERSION< ALSO THE ICECREAM TO LOW FAT< THAT WAY HE MIGHT LAST LONGER!!!! Tell him a glass of red wine is good for his heart, better than the beer. And the icecream isn't helping his obesity, which puts more of a load on his damaged heart. Having said that, though, at age 82, he probably feels he doesn't have much time left anyway so he might as well enjoy what he has. it cant help his condition but what ever makes them happy i say let him live the rest of his life the way he wants to |
