Can a person get an angina pain from stress, even if there are no blood or heart disease present?

No. Angina pectoris is caused by restricted oxygen and blood flow to various parts of the heart, and the pain is the result of that. Emotional stress would cause changes in the person's breathing and blood pressure, which could trigger an angina attack, but pre-existing heart disease would still be the cause. If there were not heart disease already present, then no pain would be caused. The references to broken hearts and such are simply hangovers from days when the heart was considered the source of emotions. Strong emotions do affect the heart, but strictly because of physiological changes which aggrivate already underlying physical conditions. Cardiovascular disease is already present, or the upset would cause no physical pain.Yes. In fact, often heart disease begins as excessive stress.
Oh my gosh yes I am 20 years old and have already been shipped in an ambulance due to what they thought was a heart - attack the stress and anxiety in my life was so high that they said I had a false heart attack... the triponin in my heart was high which means it was damaged but they also gave my nitro-glycerin twice soo I know from experiance yes it can cause angina... they ended up sending me home that same day when my heart went back to normal and I got it again the next following week so they put me on prozac so I actually wouldn't have a heart attack just be careful I am 20 and I have already had to deal with all this...
I think that would be stress reaction or panic attack. People feel like they are having a heart attack. Breathe in a brown paper bag......
Yes, stress will release stress hormones like adrenaline.
This will raise blood pressure, and will constrict blood vessels. If there is even a partial blockage of a cornary artery then if constricted it can cause angina or even a full blown heart attack. It is well known that most heart attacks occur on sunday night due to the stress of Monday morning at work.
