Hepatitis a injections?

Ttomorrow morning I have to get a hepatitis a injection because I'm going to Russia in the Easter Holidays.

I was just wondering, for those who've had it done, does it hurt. As in hurt whilst the needle goes into your arm and/or after you've got it done?

Thanks :D

no worse than having blood taken...you will be fine! x

It's just like getting any other shot. It doesn't hurt any more or less. You will be fine!

You'll get a shot in the muscle, not the vein. If you've ever gotten a tetanus shot, it shouldn't be any different.

It hurts far more to get a bad kick in the knee than a shot, though your arm could feel sore for a few days.

Its not to bad a bit of a scratch and a minor dull ache for a day (take some painkillers)

A small price to pay to visit a great country and have an unforgettable holiday... honest!

i had a combined hep A and B injection so i think it will probs be around the same pain

i found that when the needle was in my arm it was quite painful as it felt there was a lot of pressure but that could just be me. It felt kind of tight an hour afterwards like someone was squeezing my arm but that was all there was no real pain hope that helps!

Tiny pinch and then a little sting. Just pinch you arm to see how it feels. Take slow deel breathes and don't watch and it will be over in less than 5 seconds.

Good Luck, Be Brave
