Can someone who is pregnant and was diagnosed with hepatitis B have a healthy baby? |
i know the shots would be given after birth. I just wanted assurance that the baby would be fine ! thanks. Yes. During the pregnancy, everything will be fine. It's during the delivery when many precautions have to be taken to keep the baby from becoming infected. If everything is done properly, the baby will be healthy and unaffected. Here is a great website all about Hep B and pregnancy: You may be able to be treated now with little risk to the baby. This is too serious a question to post here and no one can give you assurance that the baby will be fine. Please consult with your OB as soon as you can. |
