What are the symptoms of Hepatitis C and do you eventaully die from this disease?

Like what are symptoms and how often do they occur and effect your daily like?

for most, the symptoms are so mild that they are often found to be treated separate diseases. most when first infected usually get a case of flu like symptoms.
others may have a rash appear, you feel queasy. over time you may notice all sorts of strange symptoms like different types of rashes, joint and bone pain, URQ pain, gastrointestinal issues like gastrointeritis, diverticulitis.

many who have hcv and do not know it do not really show an abnormal value of ast and alt levels. this is why doctors fail to diagnose the disease. we are trying to push for mandatory testing for actual HCV antibodies- this simple test can save lives!

yes, there are those who have passed away due to hcv and it's extrahepatic diseases like diabetes type 2 which leads to kidney and heart failure. there are neuro effects as well such as restless leg syndrome.

for most of us we have never turned yellow or the whites of our eyes have turned yellow. this is usually due to acute hepatitis c (fast acting) and many of those who get acute hepatitis actually resolve infection on their own (sustained response).

more however, go on to be chronic (about 85%) are chronic- infected for decade (s) or more.

as the infected person ages, hcv causes worsening symptoms and others may appear. there are over 150 extrahepatic symptoms and diseases associated with hcv, so although one can live a long or normal life span, the quality of life severely is affected.

I was infected at age 8 (or earlier) and by the time i was 27 I was sleeping 18 hour days. It literally took me hours to get out of bed just to use the restroom. It was not much of a life!
I had depression (because doctors wouldn't listen) and I had severe brain fog.

Treatment works! A sustained response post a year antiviral chemotherapy and your considered cured!!!! I am post 6 years and am doing fine! I even had a biopsy and the biopsy showed no active virons-

I will copy this from my Dr. Symptoms- develop in only 25-35 percent of the patients who acquire acute Hepatitis C and are often very nonspecific. therefore, the disease is on ly rarely diagnosed at this phase. Seventy five to 85 percent of patients infected with acute Hepatitis C will develop a persistent infection called Cronic Hep. C.
Some patients may be discovered to have Hep. C when they are found to have abnormalities of routine liver lad tests. Cronic Hep C is referred to as a silent epidemic as many times those affected are asymptomatic or may present with very non specific symptoms such as Fatigue. I hope I helped some.

If you don't go to the doctor and have drug, you may die from Hep c.

Maybe you can ask this question at the STD social and dating site called pozcupid .com. They are professional.
