Can I get hepatitis C from being in the same house with its victim? |
My girlfriend lives with her family, and sometimes I sleep over at their house. Her dad happens to have hepatitis C, and now I'm so worried of being in their house, because I don't want to get infected. It is NOT possible...or very little possibility. My husband has Hep C and we've been married for 6 years. An infectious disease MD told us condoms aren't even necessary. It's only blood to blood transmitted. He also told us it's taken care of with soap and water....so even if he bled onto a fork, and you used it later, as long as it had been washed it's ok. Don't worry. No dear.. It usually passes to some one by having contact with there infected blood and it some how gets in your blood. I doubt that you could get it by being in the same house. Just do not touch a cut or any open sore on him with out latex gloves on. The probability that you get hepatitis C is when your in the toilet and it can happen everywhere at school, mall, club, everywhere not in her house only. At least you know about it. Just do some research on hepatitis C to clear your mind. All the answers are bad..very bad...and you my dear need to read up on Hepatitis A B and C No you get it from blood contact or other bodily fluid contact, such as sperm. Unless you are sleeping with the father or if he bleeds onto an open wound of yours, you are fine. I dont think you can, im pretty sure you can only get it through vaginal intercouse!! you're not planning on having sex or making out with her dad are you? if not, then you're fine. Lol, NO! I am sure she has no you can,t get it like that sorry. Its possible... i don't think so, unless you have unprotected sex, or have there blood on you, make sure they don't use your toothbrush, but i'm not sure about kissing why don't you look it up on the web they can tell you more about it, or go see your doctor they can give you all the information you need but i don't think you are at a great risk i do know you can have a needle then a booster to protect you from it. good luck sorry i couldn't help more. no its a sexual transmeted. OMG!!!! This is 2008 you really need to educate yourself! |
