Could Hepatitis B transmits from food?

My mom was diagnosed with Hepatitis B half a year ago. Both me and my dad have had our immunization vaccine (two each), I still need to have one more to complete the shot. The doctor told us that my mom's infection rate is fairly low and the virus transmits only from blood (and not saliva). However, I've been feeling sick today, mainly abdominal pain. I want to know if the virus has been transmitted from food. Do I have to check with the doctor?

Thank you everyone. :) Your answers helped greatly.

Hep B is transmitted thru contaminated blood or other bodily fluids, sex, tattoos, body piercings. It's Hep A that is transmitted thru contaminated foods or water, or feces.
Have taken many classes on Hepititis. My husband has Hep C. Hep C is transmitted by blood to blood contact, sharing needles, tattoos, piercings, using an infected persons personal hygine items (if there is blood on them). It is not spread by sex unless it is very rough sex and there is blood from each person. You doctor has advised you wrong. Sorry. But a lot of doctors do, because they don't keep up on Hepatitis.

It's spread the same way as HIV--body fluids. For you to get it from food, unless full of an infected person's bodily fluids, is not possible. On the other hand, Hepatitis A CAN be spread through food, as can several other diarrhoea causing bugs. Get checked up if your worried about the pain.

HBV is not spread through food or water, sharing eating utensils, breastfeeding, hugging, kissing, hand holding, coughing, or sneezing.IT IS TRANSMITTED THROUGH THE FOLLOWING:
Sex with an infected partner
Injection drug use that involves sharing needles, syringes, or drug-preparation equipment
Birth to an infected mother
Contact with blood or open sores of an infected person
Needle sticks or sharp instrument exposures
Sharing items such as razors or toothbrushes with an infected person .
