Does my baby really need the Hepatitis B vaccine?

I don't believe she needs it because of the way it is transmitted

With all the illegals coming into this country, I would say yes

Your baby needs the Hepatitis B vaccination. It's actually a series of three vaccinations.

No, it isn't likely that your baby will be exposed to Hepatitis B during the early part of her life, as it's a bloodborne pathogen.

However, someday your baby may grow up and become a healthcare worker. Hepatitis B vaccinations are required for most healthcare workers. If she's had all her Hepatitis B shots, she'll be protected.

Or she may get hurt and need to receive a blood transfusion. No blood transfusion is 100% safe.

Most schools require the Hepatitis B vaccinations before they'll let the child enroll.

your baby definitely needs hepa B vaccine. hepa B is transmitted not only through sexual contact.blood or fluid secretions that are contaminated with such virus are other ways to acquire this. hepa b can be transmitted through skin surface contact with the person who has hepa B and has an open lesion. Blood transfusion is another way of transmission. Contaminated syringes that could be mistakenly injected to a person may cause a person to have hepa B...so much for the modes of transmission, just go and get your baby a vaccine

Hepitits B is actually pretty easy to transmit. Plus when your child is older, you want to be sure she is safe. What if her husband in the future unknowingly has it and gives it to her. Or what if she finds something in the park like a needle or razor blade, etc and gets it that way?
My take is better safe then sorry, especially something like hepatitis that is not cureable, why take the risk with your childs life?
