My dad has hepatitis c is it possible for me to get it?

My dad has hepatitis c is it possible for me to get it?

Hepatitis C is transmitted thru blood to blood contact.

I am sure you guys aren't sharing needles or anything like that, but you still have to be careful.

His blood could get onto razors, his toothbrush, nail clippers, etc. so don't share these objects with him. Anything that might have his blood on it just don't use, then you will be fine.

Take care and I hope your dad is managing ok!

Only if you come into contact with his blood. My father also has Hep C. And I know more then once I touched his blood, if had cut him self, or was hurt in some way. Before he knew he had it. (believed to be from a blood transfusion in the early 80's, or sharing needles when he was young and dumb in the early 70's).
But I have tested negative for hep c. And my mother never got it from him either, and they were married for over 30 years.
If you are worried, because you have been exposed to his blood at some point. Then have your doctor a blood test for you.

Yes if you use his razor for you legs by accident or his tooth brush or he has an accident and you touch his blood so if you are careful you will be just fine
Hope your dad feels OK

You will not get Hepatitias C from your dad unless you two share a needle or body fludis. (which I REALLY hope you don't!)

Only through an exchange of body fluids !
