Can Hepatitis C Kill you? |
Well I just found out a few minutes ago my mother was diagnosed with hepatitis c about year and ahalf ago and she just told me and she hasn't gone for the treatment yet because she scared about how the needle shots you need to take for it make you really sick? Can Hepatitis C Kill you? Thank you very much Bayla and kphelps2012 it seems my moms really just really nervous of the medication side effects and everything but I've talked with her and shes going to be setting up a appointment. If left untreated it could kill you. Bayla is correct & an excellent source of info I might add concerning this disease :) I am a rare case in which my HCV has turned into liver cancer and cirrhosis. However, I didn't find out I had the disease until it had advanced to this point. It is not curable but if you can achieve SVR like Bayla before damage occurs or worsens to cirrhosis or cancer then your likely to not advance like myself. Untreated and unchecked though it can kill and there is no cure. Encourage your Mom to see a gastroenterologist. Many people choose not to go through the available treatment because of the side effects and that should be respected but there are stll healthy alternatives to treatment. Ignoring it doesn't help. yes it damages your liver and you go into liver failure, the drug you take isnt as bad as liver failure Yes it will kill you, sorry! yes. |
