How does hepatitis B kill someone?

I know it attacks the liver, but how? How do you get hepatitis b? How many people have it? Is it linked to another STD?

You don't have to have sex to contract Hepatitis B. You can get it from casual contact. My friend had it and he couldn't drink at all, and he had to take a pill to help his liver function. If you are careful you can live a long life with this disease. Sometimes with liver problems you can have ammonia build up in your blood which causes symptoms like confusion. But again there is a pill you can take for it. I'm not sure how many people have it. I only ever knew one person my whole life who had it.
