I was recently diagnosed with hepatitis B and have some questions.?

Although my dr. told me I could transmit it sexually and through blood he did not tell me I could also do so through saliva. Found that out through my own search. Any professionals out there (either with a medical background or someone who has had to live with this) have any info regarding what precautions I need to take so as not to infect a sexual partner? Obviously condoms are a must, but does this mean I can't ever kiss a man again--in a way that saliva is exchanged? I think this is a no-brainer question but I want someone to tell me straight-up. I can't even find a good website that gives me detailed info. Supposed to get further testing done but don't have health ins. right now and can't afford to pay out of pocket.

I was told I'm a carrier but that it isn't active (at least at the time of dianosis.)

(Thank you, Lady Mady. Will check out that website. Called my dr. with the question and she said I had to make an appt. to have further questions answered. Needless to say, I won't go back to her.)

I had hepatitis B and my family received hemoglobin shots.
Once the symptoms have disappeared, kissing is ok.
Go to livestrong.com or webmd.com for further info., if you have not been to these sites before.
Doesn't the dr, who you went to, know?
