My boyfriend got hepatitis b positive result last day but we broke up 2 months ago.. will i get the diesease? Go to the doctor and get your blood tested; that's the only way you'll know for sure. He only got the test results recently, but he could have had the hepatitis while you were going out. hepatitis B have a window period of 6 months. this means that even if u have the virus already, it wont be positive on the test. so to make sure ur free of the disease, have urself tested with Hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAG) and redo the test 6 months after the last time u have sexual contact with your ex...goodluck... look this disease is transmitted by sexual intercourse ( that what books say) but..... It is possible, especially if you have had sex with him. It is possible he had it for awhile and didn't know it. However, many people have the vaccine and it may be likely you got the vaccine. Ask your parents, if not, then get tested too. if you have been sexually active there is a possabilaty that you could get it! go to the doctor |
