What's the difference between hep.C and acute hepatitis? |
A friend died from acute hep in the 80's and another person I know just found out he is hep c positive. Which one is worse? Acute hepatitis simply means that the disease began abruptly, with significant symptoms. Acute hepatitis may be caused by Hep A, B, or C. In general though, Hepatitis C is the most worrisome. HCV is often resistant to treatment, and causes significant disease. |
