Hepatitis B? |
can you get the disease if the infected person kiss you .like on your cheek People who are answering this question have given mostly just mixed up information. Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) is transmitted or is found in blood, semen, other body fluids such as saliva that contains a little blood. If a person has an open sore or cut on their skin or in their mouth and the HBV gets into their blood stream even in an amount too small to see with the naked eye, it is very likely to cause you to be infected with HBV and you might not know it until you have a blood test that looks for HBV markers in your blood. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO this is how you could get hepatitis B from a kiss on your cheek. First you have to have an open sore or cut (could be a razor cut or a pimple that has bled a little, recently) second the person who kisses you over that sore or cut must have blood in their saliva and third they must slobber a little of that bloody saliva during their kiss over your cut or sore. Now if that happens you have been invaded by literally millions of hepatitis B viruses and if your immune system does not immediately kill all those viruses you will develop a hepatitis infection that most often does not show you any symptoms, but can lead in some cases to severe liver disease and failure and early death years later and during the time you are infected with HBV you could infect others in your household or who you kiss or have sex with etc. Now you have the straight unadulterated truth on the matter. What are you going to do about it? The good news is all you have to do to protect yourself for life is get three little vaccinations over a period of 4 to 6 months. Will you do that? Source(s): CDC Expert/scientist on the topic of hepatitis B im not sure about hepititis b but i have c and our doctor said i could not give it to my girlfriend even when we have sex That is not how Hepatitis B is spread...it is in fecal material, blood and semen. nope, of course not..it can be transmitted via fecal-oral route, sexually also..also through blood like in the case of unscreened blood donated and eventually transfused. sharing of needles in the case of drug addicts. lol..or needle pricks in hospital settings, this poses a threat to healthcare workers. |
