Contracting Hepatitis B from kissing.? |
How easy is it to get heptitis B from kissing a person with hepatitis B? NO. IT is transferred perinatal and parenteral, thru intercourse and blood. Even if you kiss a person with this, it takes liters of saliva to be infected. BUT as mentioned also, if your partner with hepatitis B has bleeding gums and you also have a wound or ulcer..that will be it...but not because of the saliva but of the blood present & transferred through your buccal mucosa. Hope this helps, God bless Source(s): I'm a lab. tech easyyy!! I've heard that this is possible, but personally, I'm a little skeptical. However, I'm pretty sure that if either of you has an open soar in your mouth the chances of getting it increase significantly. VERY LIKELY COME FROM SALIVA i think it has to be passed by blood or sex, or maybe thats hepatitus c. Hep B is contracted from body fluids, like blood, semen and vaginal fluids. It's much like Hep C. It also come from sexual contact, sharin needles or other equipment, i.e. cotton, spoons & water used to inject illegal drugs, handling bloody instruments like needles, sharing toothbrushes or razors and getting tattoos or body piercings. Even if you see the tattoo artist open the "sterile" needle in front of you, it could have been re-packaged at some factory that doesn't sterilize things before they seal it. And if the needle was used on someone w/ Hep B or C you would have it as well. But, back to your question, if you have an open wound, i.e. ulcer, etc, it would be pretty easy. Other wise it would be very difficult to do so. |
