I was diagnosed with Hepatitis B, just wondering is there any way i can be free of the virus?

I just wanted to know whether anyone out there had the experience of going through some therapy or vaccine and actually, completely rid of the Virus?

Hep B can only be stopped immediately after exposure (less than a week), this is the only way to be cured from the virus. Once you test positive you either have antibodies or the actual virus. To actually test for the virus itself, a viral load blood draw is done. I hate to say this to you, but it could have been stopped with the vaccine prior to exposure. To answer your question about being completely rid of the virus, the human body can actually fight off the hepatitis B virus, but, you will alway test positive because of the antibodies. You may not be one of those people who are rid of the virus, you may always have it. Source(s): studied hepatitis viruses, multiple sources

... here is an excellent chance to educate yourself on Hep B. It will answer any questions you have.

Hep B is fairly easy to cure. Just take the meds that your Dr. gives you and be sure to go back for the follow up check up afterwards. Hep B is not necessarily life threatening, but can become so if left unchecked.
No. Sorry. You cannot cure Hep B.
