I am suffering with hepatitis b and HBeAG positive, is this disease curable and what steps i want to take? |
about hepatitis I think the disease is not curable. The best thing is for you to see a doc ( Doc specializes in infectious disease or a gastro-enterologist). You will be then advised of the ff: -live a stressed-free life -maintain a healthy lifestyle -watch ur diet (foods that are irritants to the liver are big no no) -take only doc-prescribed antibiotics for whatever infection u may have since some antibiotics are liver-unfriendly Likewise, u will be advised that u will be monitored quarterly or semestral, depending on the result of the lab tests of ur blood. If the virus is active, a medicine will be prescribed. At times when virus is inactive, u will only be prescribed with meds to boost only the function of ur liver Most importantly, think positive....BE OPTIMISTIC..... what u think will likely to come to happen. hepa B now a days are controllable disease as long as u will submit to the advise of the authorities...... the doctors. And above all, implore the help of God Almighty..... THE GREATEST PHYSICIAN Numero Uno, go see a doc. As for the disease, 20% of the cases are chronic and will get better, but won't ever completely go away. the other 80% go away on their own. If you just got the disease, go to your doctor and ask about treatments. There are several treatments, I believe that they are alpha or gamma interferon regimens that will increase your immune response to the virus. These treatments are still contraversial though, and it's up in the air whether they do any good or not. Some studies say yes, other's say no. Find a doctor and ask about it. But find one quick, as the therapy may only stop the disease from becoming chronic for a certain period of time. Also consider an STD screening, as Hep B is often transmitted sexually (but not always) and you're statistically likely to have another if you already have one STD. I would encourage you to look this up online and check with a doctor. (I personally prefer homeopathic doctors). Hope that helps a little. :O/ |
