What are symptoms of hepatitis c? actually, there are MANY symptoms of HCV. They can range from mild to severe. The old myth is that HCV is a silent disease because the bi-directional diseases associated with HCV are dianosed as individual diseases. Symptoms can occur without warning at any given time. Skin rashes, heart palpitations, lung disease, kidney disease, hair loss, thyroid issues, mental fog, i.e. confusion, depression, cysts under the skin, menstral issues, dry eyes, blocked salivary glands, changes in skin color, shingles, fibromyalgia, arthitis, cancers of the skin, liver, spleen,...many many others. Hi Most people don't know they have been infected until 15 to 20 yrs after they were exposed. Some times you may feel like you have a mild case of the flu after exposure but this quickly goes away and then there are no symptoms until the liver is actually being damaged which takes years.
