How long is the hepatitis B vaccine effective?

How long is the hepatitis B vaccine effective?

If you complete the series of shots it is effective for the rest of your life.
Yes, 3 doses correctly applied, meaning one day, a month after and six months after, last for a lifetime.

High risk people (health workers, laboratory technicians, dyalisis patients) should have a Antibody HBsAg test (surface antibody) after 5 years of last dose, and it is supposed to be possitive if protected yet. If negative, they might need another shot (only one more if correctly vaccinated in the past)
