Do I need to have Hepatitis B booster jab again? |
I had full course of Hep B vacinne jab about 8-9 years ago. Recently, my husband was diagnoise to have Hep B. Do I need to get Hep B vacinne again? Do I need the full course (3 jabs) or just 1 booster jab? I did not have any Hep A vacinne jabs before. How many jabs for Hep A vacinne and what is the frequency of the jabs. The Hep B vaccine should provide life long protection. To make sure, your doctor can send you for a simple blood test to check your antibody levels and ensure you still have adequate protection against Hep B. The Hep A shot is given as two shots, six months apart. It will give you protection against Hep A for about 5-7 years. 3 jabs in timely order. hep a is 2 jobs in timely order. while your at it, there are many vaccinations ppl dont get unless they are traveling but are damn good to have. memingitis is one but there are many others. some dont require a jab, just a drink. I have been vaccinated for everything possible. cost almost 1k altogether but worth it. I also get pneumonia every 5 years and flu shot yearly. I too have had a full course of Hep shots and recently read question on here that said that you need a booster every 10 years. I would think you would just need one needle. |
