What are the sympoms of hepatitis c? |
What are the sympoms of hepatitis c? Too much info to cut and paste. http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases... My doctor told me that a cure for Hep C is still 3-5 years out. The current treatment is only effective for some patients, with a 50% rate of no detectable virus after 5 years. Interferon and Ribavirin, the current treatment has many undesirable side effects with limited results. Don't get discouraged if you or a loved one has been diagnosed as HCV+. You can have it for years and years without ANY symptoms. My ex had it for at least 10 years and never even knew it until I made him go thru a regular physical and they found out on blood test.. Some symptoms though are jaundice (the whites of your eyes turn yellow), being tired, itchy skin , sore muscles or if your urine gets darker than normal. at first there is no symptons, then it shows in blood work, your ammonia levels can and will get high, which causes you to put off a very offensive odor at time. the lower extremities will swell, sometimes very bad. the liver is in a state of psaroisis, you will start to get anyurisms in the throat and esphagous(spelling) which in turn will eventually burst and bleed. when ammonia levels get to high you go into a coma. eventually with out a transplant you will succumb to this diease your skin also yellows. stomach pain is very common with this diease. even with a liver transplant, if its not rejected you may live five to ten yrs, but as soon as you are transplanted they say the liver is reinfected by the hep c. hope this helps with your question. my ex husband has it, is where i got all this info from. many! they range from so mild to very severe depending on how short a time you've had it, to how long you've had it. hcv is found in every tissue in your body. some common signs: rashes (anywhere, anykind) gallbladder disease dry eyes, joint and bone pains (fibro) mental issues, depression, brain fog, panic attacks lung disease heart , kidney, bowel disease....hair loss, thyroid disease... too many to list. hcv is not just a liver disease, it only needs the liver to multiply and send out it genetically changed virons every cycle. do not treat hcv on your own, the only option with a possible cure is antiviral chemotherapy. good luck hcv advocate, victim, survivor and cured with AVCT when symptoms are present during early phase of infection they usually include abdominal discomfort, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue, weight loss, Sometimes yellow skin and eyes. (Jaundice) For a certain period has no a clear symptoms but it can be found by a blood test.Afte that this viral disease causing inflammation of the liver and can be characterized by jaundice, fever ,joint pain etc |
