What is the best medication for hepatitis A,B and C?

What is the best medication for hepatitis A,B and C?

I don't really know much about Hepatitis A and B but I do know that they treat Hepatitis C with interferon. It usually consists of 1 shot a weeks and Ribavirin pills daily. Some people do treatment for 24 weeks and some do 48 weeks, depending on your genotype (the strain of the virus). Treatment can be very tough for alot of people. You have to eat right, drink 1/2 your weight of water and get plenty of rest. Alot of people have to get on antidepressant before treatment as it can cause depression in alot of people. Some people work or go to school while doing treatment and some are not able to. You are monitored while you are on treatment with regular blood tests to make sure you are doing okay while on treatment. I don't really know if there is a cure. This is very controversial as some doctors say there is a cure and some say it just goes into remission.
I suggest you educate yourself on all of these Hepatitis conditions as they are all different and have different causes. I'm not sure if you're asking for innoculation advice or post-hepatitis infection information. OK, Readers Digest Version of these 3: A is usually spread by foods that are contaminated (shellfish for example) or by someone not washing their hands contaminating food sources; B is another monster..(you can get a series of innoculations for this one, but it's not 100%. You would do this if you work in the health care/police profession where you will contact blood or body fluids. Hep-B will kill you dead. It can live on a surface for up to 10 days. You can transmit it to yourself simply by putting you hand on a contaminated area and rubbing your nose or eyes. Careful handwashing in areas that are contaminated or might be contaminated (i.e. clinics, hospitals, etc.) is essential. Hep-C is another viscious critter: It lurks in your body for 10-20 years before you start to have symptoms. It is bloodborne only; doing drugs, or being exposed to infected blood, like a transfusion (before the 1980's) will transmit this disease. I would take some time to study these hepatic diseases online as there is alot of good information and as there are more than A,B &C out there. And they all cause liver damage or even liver cancer. God Bless. Hope this helps.

Well for Hepatatis A&B it is recommended that you take a shot. It is a combination of both A and B and you get a series of 3 shots over the period of 6 months. You get the first one and then a month after that you get the second one and five months after that you get the third one.
