Does anyone here have both HIV+ AND hepatitis C /?

AND FOR HOW LONG YOU HAD THEM? AND DO YOU DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT IN YOUR LIFE STYLE?

there are many dually infected individuals on the internet. many support groups for one or the other combine the two.
i only had hcv, but we have one or two members in our group who are dually infected-the viruses are not related in anyway, but can be contracted the same ways ie, sharing needles or being infected years ago being a hemophiliac-exept where hcv is concerned it is not tranmitted by sexual intercourse unless there is blood to blood cross contamination.

you might do a search for groups that have members who both have the unfortunate experience who suffer from both.

my heart goes out to those dually infected. i really think that hiv can actually make hcv easier to acquire, however, just with the medications alone to treat hiv can cause an issue of just medication induced hepatitis. regardless, there are folks out there who can help support your needs!

hugs and good luck! Source(s): riss-hepatitis c objectives yahoo groups
I do not. I also do not think that people who have them would be so eager to make their very serious illnesses common knowledge on the web.
IF anyone has both HIV and Hepatitis C then I would hope they would change thier life style, becouse their current one is not working well for them.
